Crystal & Glass Etching Cost

NO CHARGE - All selections are priced
COMPLETE with ALL ETCHING - Logo and Lettering.
Subject only to these modest charges:

$10 Composition Charge per layout:
For example, every size Revere Bowl shares the same layout. However, when the items’ shapes vary, different layouts may be necessary to fit their geometry.

$2 / piece Copy Change Charge:
Applies to any copy change within a layout, for example,
First Place, Second Place, Third Place are two copy changes or $4.00

Two Sided Etching: $6.00 per piece.

Complex layouts and specific formats, fonts, services, etc. that require
special time & attention may require modest additional charges.

PRODUCTION LEADTIME: 14 working days in advance of the
"must ship" date for your order to be shipped to your destination.

RUSH PRODUCTION: of less than 14 working days is possible,
conditional to our previous commitments and in consideration for a
RUSH CHARGE of $40.00 or 25% of the order value, whichever is greater.

SALES TAX : of 5% applies to Massachusetts orders only.

COST to PREPARE your LOGO for ETCHING - NO CHARGE

If you provide us with artwork that we can seamlessly
produce the etching artwork.

We need sharp, crisp, clear BLACK & WHITE artwork
no half tones - no multicolor - no gray scale background -
no sawtooth edges from low resolution printers.

E-mail artwork to us from a PC system ( we do NOT work in MAC ).
The e-mailed attachment can be in any of these formats: AI, EPS, CDR, TIFF, JPEG
NOT PDF, PPT, or DOC
You can also mail a hard copy which we can scan into our system.

We can NOT work from artwork that is fuzzy and low resolution such as
cocktail napkins, screen printed or embroidered shirts,
stationery where bleeding obscures detail, or FAX'S

CHARGES Will apply if we have to spend time to
clean up or hunt down artwork. When we see the artwork you have,
we can quote these charges before beginning the project.

YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW

About the time and effort that we put into every etching layout… We know that each trophy, award, and gift will have a special meaning to each recipient.
Therefore, we must first understand your recognition and the message so that
we can appropriately emphasize and highlight.

We then design the etching layout to conform to the specific item's geometry. For example, Revere bowls look best with a horizontal layout and
longer lines of text are possible.
Alternatively, cups and vases look best with a vertical layout,
so we design with short lines of text and arrange the message vertically.

We also have to be aware of the physical limits of
height and width for each item.

Each layout is a custom creation and it shows !

When production time permits, we are happy to FAX proposed layouts.
We charge $20.00 each for these PROOF COPIES.

How is the CRYSTAL & GLASS ETCHING done ?

The deep etching is performed with the tried and true sand blasting method.
From the artwork that we create of logo and text,
a mask is made and hand applied to each piece.

The etching is done individually and by hand. the mask allows the
high pressure sand to cut into the glass and crystal surface only in the
open portions - all other areas are shielded.
After complete blasting, the mask is removed. the piece is washed,
inspected, and carefully packed. This is all skilled hand work.

The deep etching is permanent - it will never wash off. Logos' details
can be beautifully etched and areas can be completely filled or opaqued.
Unfortunately logos with very fine detail and lettering
smaller than 10pt. can not be etched because of the masks' limitations.
